At Trish, the clothes get all the attention. The stark display window is home to two mannequins. One is dressed in a tangerine Rozae Nichols V-neck, silky blouse ($278) and tapered indigo Anlo jeans ($205). The other is decked out in a free-flowing brown, white and black Rozae Nichols dress ($490).

Inside, canary and vibrant green dresses pop against the white walls.

Owner Trish Snyder has one goal: Keep women in the 757 ahead of the fashion curve.

We're checking out boutiques all over Hampton Roads, and when we stopped by Trish, Snyder was coordinating calls to her frequent shoppers to share news about spring and summer arrivals.

The clientele

"We're really big with the social girls in town," Snyder said. "The youngest customers are in their mid-20s." One of the store's most frequent shoppers is 84. "She's chic and has got a great attitude. It's not really age, it's the attitude."

The collection

Snyder worked for designers Ralph Lauren and Norma Kamali for seven years in New York. She uses that expertise to bring Manhattan style to Hampton Roads. Trish's most popular lines include Robert Rodriguez, Rozae Nichols, Gary Graham, Suzi Roher and Anlo.
