Gordon Lynn Worrell, former chief of the Holland Volunteer Fire Department, was arraigned Friday in Suffolk Circuit Court and pleaded not guilty to charges involving accusations of sexual molestation more than a decade ago.

Worrell, 43, was arrested after two men told police that he assaulted them in 1994 and 1997, according to court testimony. One of the men was a minor at the time.

Worrell, who is free on a $25,000 bond, is charged with indecent liberties with a child, forcible sodomy, attempted forcible sodomy and abduction.

His trial is expected to last for two days, prosecutors said, and is scheduled to begin on Oct. 1.
