Letters to Editor - bLetters
We welcome your opinion on public issues, in either of two ways. You can submit a letter to the editor for possible publication in the printed edition. The Virginian-Pilot welcomes letters to the editor on all topics, although concise letters (150 words or less) on public issues will receive priority. Letters may be edited for length, style and clarity and writers are limited to one published letter every month. Please add your name, city, street address and daytime telephone number for confirmation.
The other way is to comment on the published letters in this blog. In this online forum, you can comment as much as you want by using the comment box at the end of each entry.

Credit for Wearing Them
There are many opinions about the pink high heels photo and I would give credit to any woman for just being able wear and walk in the things. If the high heels complimented the rest of the attire and made the woman feel more attractive that is her choice. I would say that everyone is
entitled to have a opinion about what the photo implies. I just thought that it was somewhat dumb. If the lady wearing those high-heels has seen all the nonsense written about them she is probably falling out of her chair laughing.
Sassy, Pink Shoes!
As the wife of a retired military member, I also have memories of standing at a pier waiting for a glimpse of my husband after a deployment. And I also carefully chose just the right attire which now seems much too conservative and stuffy. I love the pink shoes, how sexy and fun and exciting. I am guessing her beau was delighted. For Pete's sake, the Country been at war for over five years, we're facing a recession (if not already in one), our homes have lost value and food and gas prices are causing havoc with our budgets. All the more reason to add some easy, inexpensive fun to our lives. I say kudos!
