Turns out, crime in Beach on June 1 was back to normal

After a crime-riddled June 1 in 2007, police statistics show that the same day this year was pretty normal.

So far, 108 crimes have been reported for June 1, 2008. That’s way below the 234 from June 1 a year ago, the highest crime day of last year.

A random check of other days this year shows June 1 was nothing special. For example, there were 104 reported crimes on May 1; 101 on April 1; 113 on March 1 and 96 on Feb. 1.

“Just another average day,” said Jimmy Barnes, a police spokesperson.

If you think random events can be correlated to something unrelated like the calendar, stay away from Vegas. They love to take money from people that think they can predict the future.
