Alicia P.Q. Wittmeyer covers education in Chesapeake.

Alicia joined the Pilot in 2008. Before that, she worked across the river at the Daily Press, where she covered education in Isle of Wight and Suffolk, and spent time in Idaho, working for the Associated Press.

A native of the California bay area, Alicia graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a double major in political science and economics. She thinks the crab tastes much better out here, but that the mountains could be a little taller and the snow a little fluffier.
