A celebration of the music of Heitor Villa-Lobos, this fascinating new project commemorates the 50th anniversary of the revered Brazilian composer’s death.
Villa-Lobos was one of the foremost Latin American composers of the 20th century, whose music combines indigenous melodic and rhythmic elements with Western classical music.
The concert features Grammy-nominated saxophonist Branford Marsalis and members of the critically acclaimed ensemble, Filharmonia Brasileira.
