Maddie Loeffler

13, Virginia Beach

Occupation Rising eighth-grader at Corporate Landing Middle School

Nominated Commodore Theatre in Portsmouth

On brownie sundaes "The brownie must be warm, moist, chewy and fudgy tasting. Preferably no nuts; they take away from the chocolate fudge taste. It must be made with real vanilla ice cream (NOT soft serve), fudge topping and whipped cream."

Tracey Pickard

37, Chesapeake

Occupation Third-grade teacher at Cedar Road Elementary

Nominated I can honestly say that I really haven't had a brownie sundae that I didn't like!

On brownie sundaes "Growing up outside of Chicago, I remember my grandmother treating the grand kids to sundaes at Cupid Candies, a family-owned chocolate shop. I remember we couldn't wait for the awesome, decadent sundaes!"

Monique Cabiness

27, Virginia Beach

Occupation Information technology specialist at Norfolk State University

Nominated Shoney's and Bravo! Cucina Italiana

On brownie sundaes "A brownie sundae is an art. I love the way the cold ice cream meets the warm brownie and chocolate fudge."

Roy Cunningham

71, Virginia Beach

Occupation Business professor at Old Dominion University

Nominated Ben & Jerry's

On brownie sundaes "I love the combination of the chewy chocolate and the smoothness of the vanilla ice cream. Initially I began to eat sundaes because I needed to gain weight. I was a runner in those days and could afford that luxury. However, I am still eating them and can no longer use that as an excuse!"

Unofficial judge Cunningham brought along his granddaughter Kylie Surles to help him with the tasting.
