Coast Guard Cutter Seahorse gets new commanding officer

The Coast Guard Cutter Seahorse will get a new commanding officer today.

Master Chief Petty Officer William R. James will take over command from Master Chief Petty Officer Mark Rieger during a ceremony at 1 p.m. today at the Integrated Support Command in Portsmouth, according to a news release.

Rieger is retiring after 30 years of active duty. James had served as the command master chief for the Coast Guard Atlantic Area.
