Kevin Denson is the new boys soccer coach at First Colonial.
Denson coached at Kempsville for 22 years and retired following the 2006 season. He led the Chiefs to four Group AAA state titles.
"I missed it," said Denson, who added close contact with Landstown coach Andrew Blackmore and current Kempsville coach Adam Schultz drew him back to the sidelines. Both played on Denson's 1997 state championship team.
Denson replaces Matt Wallace, who compiled a 68-26-15 record over the past six years, including an Eastern Region runner-up finish in '04. The Patriots finished 9-7 last season and lost in the first round of the Beach District tournament.
