A Hampton woman was fatally injured this afternoon in a two-vehicle crash on Hampton Highway, police said.
Authorities responded to the crash on Hampton Highway at Saint Clair Circle, near Big Bethel Road, about 3:30 p.m. and found a Honda Civic that had been hit broadside by a Chevrolet Tahoe, said Michelle Cotten, a spokeswoman for Virginia State Police.
Investigators determined the Tahoe was traveling southbound on Hampton Highway when the Civic pulled into its path, Cotten said.
The Honda’s 27-year-old driver died of her injuries on the way to Riverside Regional Medical Center, Cotten said.
