Link. News for the under 30 crowd.

Dean Cain (for our money, the real Superman... Brandon who, right?) turns 42 today.  Celebrate by- uhh- wearing a cape?

Look here youngster, there are two real Supermans:  George Reeves and Christopher Reeve.

George Reeves' The Adventures of Superman lasted seven years, from 1951 to 1958, and included a feature file- Superman and the Molemen- and an appearance on I Love Lucy.

Christopher Reeve's film version, still the definitive Man of Steel built upon Reeves' legacy- Reeve was more familiar with the TV show than the comic books.   Three movies in the series- well, three that counted.  Reeve himself wasn't very happy with the fourth.  And then his amazing portrayal of Dr Virgil Swann on Smallville.

Just these two.

Not Dean Cain.  Not Tom Welling.  Not Brandon Routh.

Kids today.
