Maybe Less Than Perfect

It says, the calm waters of Lynnhaven Inlet provides the perfect conditions for Jet skying, catamaraning and windsurfing. I don't know about that. You can do these things but perfect conditions? I don't really think so. You would have to say that conditions are less than perfect. At times there is a strong current in Lynnhaven Inlet. That can be dangerous around the bridge. There is a lot of power boat traffic. There are no wake areas. There is not really all that much room to windsurf or Jet sky. Also there are oyster bars and sand bars to look out for. So to sum it up. Enjoy yourself but be extra careful.

How long has Duck Inn been gone now?

Looks like it's time to update this beach report. Also, may want to move the one comment that is here as it's mostly for the Peninsula beach.

The city of Hampton and the Buckroe neighborhood beach is a refreshing. A virtually undiscovered shore line. Buckroe Beach visitors have the best kept secret. As many visitor head to more popular beach destinations they pass right by a true treasure on 64 East (Hampton University exit) just before the tunnel. Bring your family to enjoy this small town wonder. The beach is truly family centered. Low tides allow young children the opportunity to enjoy the water not to mention the wonderful playground. Older youth and adults can enjoy live entertainment at the pavillion and the viewing deck when not relaxing on the non-over crowed beach. Great for family picnics, bike riding, running and relaxing. Buckroe of Hampton is a winner for those who want to get a way from it all while being a short distance from Williamsburg, Norfolk and VA Beach.
