Most every mom believes she has the cutest kid in the universe.
Jennifer Warren Giddens of Virginia Beach took that notion a step further though and sent in a photo of her 17-month-old son, Trey, to a "Cover Model Search" contest that Parents magazine was conducting.
Of course, so did 84,885 other parents.
But Trey - with his curly hair, his won't-quit smile and his chubby cheeks - got chosen, first as one of 20 semi-finalists, and then one of five finalists.
Next month, Trey and his mom will fly for free to New York City where they'll be put up for five days. Trey will be the subject of a photo shoot at the magazine's headquarters.
If he wins the contest, he'll be on the November cover of Parents magazine.
Giddens said once Trey - officially Larry Giddens III - was chosen as a semi finalist she was asked to send in five more photos taken between July 2 and July 15.
She figured he'd get sick of her running after him with the camera, but he still smiled and said, "Cheeeeese."
Dad, Larry Giddens Jr., meanwhile, kidded his wife: "Are you done with the photo shoot for tonight?"
There's also a "Members' Choice" award among the 20 semi finalists that people can vote on by visiting the Parents.com Web site.
