Police have warrant for suspect in Hampton robbery

HAMPTON

Hampton police said Tuesday they are looking for two men who robbed a convenience store Monday night.

Two men with handguns robbed the store, in the 100 block of West Mercury Boulevard, at 11:05 p.m., police said.

Police said they have a warrant charging Roderick Lamont Spratley, 22, of the 500 block of 17th Street in Newport News with one count of robbery and one count of using a firearm in the commission of a felony.

Investigators asked that anyone with information on the robbery call Hampton police at 727-6111 or the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP.
