Synopsis
Betrayed by Vesper, the woman he loved, 007 is determined to uncover the truth. He and M interrogate Mr. White who reveals the organization which blackmailed Vesper is far more complex and dangerous than anyone had imagined. Forensic intelligence links an MI6 traitor to a bank account in Haiti where Bond encounters the beautiful but feisty Camille, and she leads him to Dominic Greene, a ruthless business man and major force within the mysterious organization. On a mission that leads him to Austria, Italy and South America, Bond discovers that Greene, conspiring to take total control of one of the world's most important natural resources, is forging a deal with the exiled General Medrano. Using his associates in the organization, and manipulating his powerful contacts within the CIA and the British government, Greene promises to overthrow the existing regime in a Latin American country, giving the General control of the country in exchange for a seemingly barren piece of land. As Bond gets closer to finding the man responsible for betraying Vesper, he must keep one step ahead of the CIA, the terrorists and even M, to unravel Greene's sinister plan and stop his organization.

Stirring, not shakin'
I missed the gadgets too, and am still not sure who was after M, but still enjoyed it thoroughly. Hey, the good guys won, right?
Bond disappointing
This one was not as good as the last one. Transporter 3 was better.
This is the first 007 DVD I won't buy.

007
I'm always so surprised at how taken I am by this James Bond. He's like a CA hottie, but he portrays 007 better than anyone since Sean Connery. He's not just a pretty face, he shows his inner struggles; loyalty to his country mixed with personal pain/turmoil. He's awesome!! This movie is great. It has a bit of 'Moonraker' and 'Goldfinger' intermingled. The only bad part was the immediate beginning. Too much energy too fast.
not bad!
Features some disjointed (but exciting!) action, and some hard-to-follow dialogue. An otherwise great action flick, especially 'M' (Judy Dench). Shows how Bond (purportedly) got his start--much more realistic than previous Bond outings, altho future Bond flicks may digresss more into the gadgets and sophistication than Craig's first two.
Bond is back!
This Bond actually has acting skills and talent. Plot is good and the scenes are great. Looking forward to the next movie.
Decent entertainment
A decent movie worth watching on the big screen. It won't help you with your Rocket Science degree, but it is entertaining for an hour and a half. Don't put much stock in the script but you will probably enjoy the techno stuff and constant intense action. You get car chases, foot chases, motorcycle chases, boat chases, and finally airplane chases. The only thing missing was a space chase.
Excellent!!
Not sure what the other person was thinking who saw this movie and gave it one star, but it was incredible! The Bond movies have definitely become better movies with Craig, unlike the predecessors that were just stupid shoot em ups, the new ones actually make you think and follow good plot twists. This is not only a great action movie, but an excellent drama to boot. Be sure to keep in mind, this movie picks up one hour after Casino Royale ends, so if you haven't seen that yet, you should probably rent it first, otherwise you will definitely be lost.
A Cup of Tea, without water
I didn't understand this confusing collage of overly spectacular action, story fragments, and slurry hard to understand dialects.
Also, where is the Bond,..James Bond; and the cool gadgets?
