Lifeguards (9:30 to 6 p.m. mid-May through Mid-September), umbrella, chair, bike and body board rentals available. Surfing and fishing allowed. Playground and volleyball courts.  Public restrooms. Vending machines. Two city lots for parking are open from 9 a.m .to 6 p.m. Private lots and very limited on-street parking are available, too.

Other Amenities:
Beach chair and umbrella rentals available.

Parking:
$3 per day for residents. $5 per day for non-residents.

Mostly locals and families populate the low-key stretch of waning shoreline. The private neighborhood beach is at the end of Sandbridge Road.

Picnic at one of two area parks, which are located at the beginning and end of Sandbridge Road.

Beachcombers can walk south with the destination of North Carolina not too far away.
