Two lakes and wooded trails are avenues to environmental education and wildlife management in action at Sandy Bottom. In addition to exhibits, classroom programs and tours, there are paths for hiking and cycling; a fishing pier; bicycle, boat, paddle boat and canoe rentals; sheltered picnic area by reservation; primitive camping sites as well as tent cabins with cots; gardens and a gift shop.
