Wow, last night's "Bachelorette" finale was a nail biter. As one of my friends put it, he (yes, he) said the suspense made him feel like he was watching a close game involving his favorite team.
So, the Greek goddess, 26-year old DeAnna Pappas had it narrowed down to her final two: the sexy single dad Jason (right), and the free wheeling pro snow boarder Jesse (left). Though I liked both of DeAnna's final two guys, I thought FOR SURE she was going to pick Jason Mesnick, the 31-year-old account executive from Seattle. But the once slighted "Bachelor" beauty picked 26 year-old Jesse Csincsak from Colorado. (How the heck do you say his last name??) So I guess she's Jesse's girl now.

I gotta admit, Jesse polishes up nice. He had a nice fitting suit on and got himself a trim. He still was working his long locks, but the trim was much needed. Both guys looked great, but DeAnna stole the finale in a green-blue, long flowy dress. Hot. Even DeAnna was suprised that she picked the chill snowboarding kid in the end. "I cannot believe that I'm going to marry this guy with the pink shoelaces!" she said, referring to his Day-Glo premiere-episode ensemble.
Both guys got down on one knee to propose - but DeAnna had to stop Jason mid-proposal which was a shocker to him and heartbreaking to watch. Poor guy, he and his 3-year old son, Ty, back home were totally sold out for DeAnna. I feel for him especially because he had a little boy.
After the final rose ceremony, ABC showed a "Bachelorette" special where Jason could confront DeAnna for the first time and Jesse and DeAnna could finally announce their engagement publicly for the first time in front of friends and families. (ABC makes their contestants stay mum right after the show about who ends up with who until the show airs.)
During the one-hour special, DeAnna announced she and Jesse would be getting hitched on May 9, 2009. I wonder if she'll be following in Trista's footsteps and air the wedding for the world to see. I guess we'll find out next year.....
