Whether or not you intend to vote for Senator Obama, you’ve got to admit that he's organized a vigorous campaign.

Relentlessly his campaign pumps out e-mails and every time they request money. Although he's raised enough funds to run third world countries through the year 3,000, he’s still rooting in the wallets of America’s Democrats, searching for cash.

Until yesterday, he restricted himself to pestering the faithful via internet. Then he took it to the next level. My phone rang; the little screen informed me that this call came from a cell phone.

Me: “Hello?”

Voice: “Hi, I’m calling on behalf of the Obama campaign to invite you to a meet and greet.”

Me: “Huh?”

Voice: “We’ve opened a  campaign headquarters on Church Street. This weekend we offer you a chance to meet fellow Obama voters. Join us for refreshments and a time of chatting with people who see this election as you do.”

Me: “Er... Thanks.”

If I were to be joined by like-minded voters, I’d be in a crowd of those who wish they had a candidate for whom they want to vote. I may be one of the few Americans not thrilled about the thought of Obama in charge. Having said that, let's hand him props for his red hot campaign. With this campaign, Attila The Hun could have conquered Europe without leaving home.

In the last presidential election, I worked for John Kerry. While I considered Kerry one of the undead, I did want to get rid of George Bush. Will I hit the streets on behalf of Obama? Nope. His campaign may well thunder a vast stampede of voters to the polls, but not with my help.
