We also offer a fine selection of new & vintage Chelsea clocks and other fine marine instruments and we've added a new department featuring maritime inspired nautical apparel and jewelry. We are also the sole authorized "Schooner Virginia" ship's store offering their full line of apparel and accessories!
We are located in the historic Seaboard building with our storefront overlooking the river. Our front door is only a few steps away from the Hog Island Lighthouse lens and the High Street landing.

The Best Nautical Store Anywhere
Make sure to stop by and check out Skipjack Nautical Wares & Marine Gallery if you're visitng the Hampton Roads area. Skipjack features everything nautical from antiques to hand-crafted accessories, nautical apparel and jewelry and magnificent original art in their Aft gallery. This store goes on and on....we even bought a neat nautical flag dog collar for our lab! We also enjoyed their riverfront location where you can catch the ferry to Norfolk just steps away from their front door and the big lighhtouse lens located directly in front of their store! They have a Web store too.
We plan to go sailing aboard the schooner "Spirit of Independence" on our next trip to Olde Towne.
Hope to see you again!
I was crushed when I read about the church fire that destroyed Skipjack Nautical Wares & Marine Gallery. Skipjack was such an asset to downtown Portsmouth and to Hampton Roads. You would have to drive a thousand miles in either direction along the east coast to find a comparable nautical store. We certainly hope that the owners of Skipjack will find a way to reopen. Hampton Roads (and especially Portsmouth) should do whatever they can to get this business back! We miss you!
