Suffolk police said today that they have arrested a man sought in connection with a July 12 shooting.

Jermaine Orlando Brock, 21, of the 200 block of Central Ave., was arrested this morning, according to a city news release sent shortly after 6 a.m. The release did not give additional details.

Police have warrants charging Brock with aggravated malicious wounding, using a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a firearm by a felon, shooting into an occupied dwelling and discharging a firearm in public causing injury to another person, a statement from the city said.

Demetrius D. Golden, 24, was standing on a porch at his house in the 200 block of Pine Street when he was shot in the right side.

A bullet from the shooting shattered a window of the Suffolk fire headquarters nearby on Market Street, the statement said. No one was inside.
