If I run out of gas/breakdown on the interstate
and "abandon" my car to rectify the situation, does it give this guy the right to take it? Certainly not. Be careful what you people are wishing for...
Uh
I guess any car where the owner isn't in it could be considered abandoned.
I've got another address
My neighbor has 3 cars, a boat, and a junkyard's worth of non-working yard equipment and scraps of stuff -- please oh please, come start the towing. Norfolk officials have done nothing about this for years, despite numerous complaints... Mr. Suffolk, bring your truck on over!
My Norfolk Neighborhood
Hey you, the guy towing abandoned cars.... Come on home to Norfolk. You could make a killing off the junk cars in my neighborhood. Most of my neighbors and I will even fix you a cold drink when you are through for the day.
If...
If the cars are abandoned, then how can it be called stealing? Dictionary.com defines Abandoned as "To surrender one's claim to, right to, or interest in; give up entirely."
Let me give you..........
My next-door neighbor's address. (It's the three cars in back of the house).
abandoned cars....
Anybody have one of his cards? I know of a bunch more he can handle. The city sure won't do it. In one yard in my neighborhood (Kilby Shores) there are three non-running cars on the property. NOT the thing you would expect to see in that neighborhood. They get warrants...I would hand him the key to the city! lol
TOW AWAY
What's Suffolk's procedure in dealing with aboandoned vehicles ? If they have one , it's apparently not working -- if they don't have one , perhaps they should hire the perp.
Good Job!
If this guy is removing abandoned and non-working cars from city streets, should they consider giving him an award?
Is it just the Pilot?
Does anyone else see the oddity in this article? If the cars are "abandoned", can they, in fact, be "stolen"? I don't think so..., but I guess it takes Suffolk out of the money loop (selling them at auction) and we can't have that! ;-)
