This is a little piece of Heaven. I just started going this summer and I can't stop. I love it. Beautiful scenery and peaceful, it must be the best kept secret. I go almost every weekend. My girls love it too. They take their friends. This is the best beach for me!!

I think its ok but not great, anymore I see alot of gangs of teenagers smoking and alot of parties on the back and some very rough and lewd behaviuor, sorry but its not very family friendly but if your in your teens and 20s you might like it if your into that sorta of thing...it was nice a few years back...now its just another tourist trap.

I was reluctant when the renovation took place, but Yorktown has become one of my favorite places to visit alone or with others. If you enjoy sunrises, I experienced the most wondrous sunrise here that I have ever experienced and then a great breakfast at the hotel. It is so clean and peaceful and I love the shops and sheltered parking.

We live less than ten minutes away from this beach and go often! Not only is peaceful and beautiful, but you can get a good workout walking around the town! They are also expanding the boardwalk there. Shops are for the rich, so I don't even bother, but who knows, maybe they will be a subway in for us middle class folks maybe? We can only hope! I would reccomend a picnic lunch at the far end where there are many picnic tables and green grass!
