HAMPTON
A 17-year-old was arrested today in connection to a fatal shooting in the 100 block of Burns Street, according to a news release.
About 5:15 p.m. Thursday, police responded to a report of a shooting near LaSalle Avenue and found Riley Deas, III, 18, of Hampton. Medics pronounced him dead at the scene.
An unidentified 17-year-old male from Hampton was charged with one count of murder, one count of use of a firearm while in commission of a felony and one count of possession of a firearm by a minor.
