An awesome show

From the dark confines of deep Camden County in northeastern North Carolina, the Perseids were at their finest this morning.

Life's alarm clock got me up around 3 to use the restroom. So I took Dunkin out and we took care of business together in the wild.

In just a few minutes, the Perseid meteor showers put on a brilliant show.

The Perseids can be seen again for the next morning or two. But the week's ever-growing moon, which will stay out later and later, will make seeing the show a little tougher. Wednesday morning likely will be the last good viewing.

As usual, I love to watch these meteor showers.

Dunking, however, was unimpressed and ready to go back to bed.
