A Virginia Beach man is being held without bond in the city jail on charges that he sexually abused two children, police said.
Jeffery M. Mitchell, 30, of the 5600 block of Landfall Drive, is charged with inanimate object penetration, oral sodomy and aggravated sexual battery. Both of his victims were younger than 10, police spokeswoman Margie Long said.
Mitchell also is wanted on charges of child sex crimes in Florida and had been considered a fugitive, Long said. He will face the charges in Virginia Beach before being sent to Florida, she said.
