Company to build barracks at Fort Eustis

Posted to: Military Newport News

W.M. Jordan/Versar of Newport News will construct a 336-room barracks for soldiers at Fort Eustis, the Norfolk District of the Army Corps of Engineers announced Thursday.

The $27.5 million project will bring the number of rooms in permanent-party housing at the base to 1,080, slightly above the government mandate there, according to Jon Jones, the Norfolk District project manager.

Jordan/Versar expects to have the work complete by April 2010.
