HAMPTON
Hampton police have arrested two teenagers on charges that they broke into a home in the 3400 block of Custer Court on Aug. 1 and shot a 75-year-old man in the stomach .
The suspects, both 16-year-old boys from Newport News, were arrested Friday, police spokeswoman Allison Good said. They were being held on maiming, breaking and entering and firearms charges.
The victim remains hospitalized in critical condition, Good said.
