It's not turning out to be the best week for Morgan Freeman. Though, on the bright side, he has a rock-solid excuse for issuing as many "no comments" as he sees fit. Just four days after a scary vehicle-flipping, surgery-requiring crash comes news that the 71-year-old Oscar winner is engaged in a "divorce action" with his wife of 24 years, Myrna Colley-Lee.
Rihanna & Chris Brown engaged? Rihanna has sparked rumors she is engaged to R&B singer Chris Brown after she was photographed wearing a diamond ring on her wedding finger, reports Starpulse, an entertainment news blog. She has been romantically linked to the Brown for months, but both singers have continually denied they are a couple, despite being snapped in public kissing and cuddling.
Feds officially close Heath Ledger investigation
The U.S. Attorney's Office closed its investigation into Heath Ledger's accidental overdose death and will not enforce a subpoena against Mary-Kate Olsen, a law-enforcement source told People mag. The probe was closed without any charges being filed. Olsen, 22, was subpoenaed by a federal grand jury on April 23, but her attorney had been in negotiations with federal authorities since then, the source said.
Paris had fun with her little video
Paris Hilton is basking in the glow of her successful online video spoof posted on FunnyorDie.com this week. The comedic video, which pokes fun at her inclusion in a recent John McCain campaign ad, has been viewed more than 3 million times on the comedy Web site. "It was a lot of fun," the heiress told WWD on Wednesday while in Copenhagen promoting her latest handbag line.
Radiohead's House of Cards Video Rendered in 3D Using Legos
Radiohead's http://gizmodo.com/5033780/radioheads-house-of-cards-video-rendered-in-3d-using-legos)" target="_blank">latest music video, as you may have heard, didn't use cameras, reports Gizmodo, a tech toys and culture blog, instead using lasers to capture data that could be presented visually. They then released all that data, allowing people to fiddle around with it. Ian Mackinnon took that 3D plotting data and created this Lego version of the House of Cards video:
Adult diapers litter Houston freeway
A tractor-trailer hauling a load of adult diapers on a Houston Freeway rolled on its side while making a turn. The outcome? No serious injuries... just crap load of traffic-stopping goods. See the video.
3 million bees removed from Miami home
A beekeeping expert was asked to remove the largest hive in his 20-year career. Residents of the Miami residence were reporting being stung daily for the past year. The beekeeper said the hive was large enough to produce 60 pounds of honey. He moved the bees to a farm outside of then neighborhood.
