NORFOLK
The Norfolk Police Department will host a community forum at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at Norview High School.
The forum, one of a series, is designed to address topics including gang activity, crime prevention, domestic violence, sexual assault and code enforcement.

Come on give the police a break
It would be
nice if they actually did something instead of constantly talking about it at yet another forum. This is just something the police do in order to cover themselves and to make them feel better. So when "stuff" happens they can say..."remember when we did that forum? If the folks would have listened this wouldn't have happened". Or it allows them to say.."we're trying. Look at all the community forums we've had. We're proactive not reactive." Ask at the forum if Norfolk has a gang problem and see what they tell you. I bet it sounds something like this: "No, Norfolk doesn't have any more of a gang problem than any other city of the same size. You can't stop it. Gangs are everywhere. At least we're not like CA yet and we're working to keep it that way by having community forums. So I would say No...Norfolk doesn't have a gang problem". So all you gang bangers, wife beaters, drug addicts, and rapists be sure to put that on your calender! Or better yet, since the police will be busy wasting everyone's time at another useless forum, plan to go out and rob, rape, pillage, and, oh yes, beat your spouses at precisely these hours!
