Three men burned by hot oil on ship at Norfolk International Terminals

NORFOLK

Three men working on a container ship at Norfolk International Terminals were injured Friday afternoon after being spayed with hot oil, said Battalion Chief Todd Cannon.

At 2:44 p.m. Norfolk Fire-Rescue answered a report of three people who were sprayed with hot oil while working in a vessel’s engine room, Cannon said. The oil was removed from their bodies and two of the three men were transported to Sentara Norfolk General for their injuries, including burns.

The other stayed in the vessel with no need for medical attention, Cannon said. He did not reveal the extent of the injuries.

Spaying is for females.

I believe the author meant to neuter these men with hot oil.

All joking aside, I hope the buns heal and the guys are ok....genitals and all.

These guys are not gonna appreciate your typo. If you don't know what "spayed" means, look it up. I think you meant to say "sprayed" with hot oil. Cheers, MGM
