Tyra Banks portrays Michelle Obama in Sept. Harpers Bazaar. HATED IT!

As promised, here are more pictures of Tyra Banks portraying Michelle Obama, in September's Harpers Bazaar. Not really feeling this concept - as Tyra says on "Top Model," "Looks too commecial," I would have loved to see Tyra do a high fashion version of Mrs. Obama -- these pics are a little blah! And, am I the only one who thinks it's a little weird that the magazine didn't cut the male model out of the picture? I definitely wouldn't have minded if they showed half of his face, giving an Obama illusion. Tyra looks great, as usual, but I think it was a bad choice on her part to recreate the image of someone who is, not only alive, but still creating a catalogue of looks to be remembered by. I can look at Michelle Obama everyday on TV, in newspapers, and on the Internet - she's currently featured at HamptonRoads.tv - so, why would I want to see Tyra portraying Michelle? This is probably just another stunt for Ms. Banks to get more viewers on her – I can’t believe I about to say this -- Emmy Award-winning show.

Welcome Mr. Patrickly Speaking...

Now that I have gotten all the formalities out of the way, I just wanted to point something out that you mentioned about Tyra's spread. "I would have loved to see Tyra do a high fashion version of Mrs. Obama, these pics are a little blah!" -P. Well Mrs. Obama is Mrs. Obama, not Naomi Campbell. It would not have made sense to do something "high fashion", because that is not image that Mrs. Obama exudes. She is classy, elegant and sophisticated, and I believe the spread was absolutely appropriate.
