Virginia Beach police are looking for a man who robbed a bank while using the drive-through.

Police spokesman Adam Bernstein said the man pulled into the drive-through at Gateway Bank, 713 Independence Blvd., about 11:30 a.m. and slipped a note into the drive-through tube. The note said he was armed and that he wanted money, Bernstein said.

The teller gave the robber an undisclosed amount of money, and he drove away, Bernstein said.

The robber is described as white, in his late teens or early 20s, with a shaved head and no facial hair. He is skinny and has letters tattooed on his left arm from his elbow to wrist, and he drove a white, four-door vehicle that police believe may have been a Lexus or Mercedes.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP (1-888-562-5887).
