VIRGINIA BEACH

Virginia Beach police are looking for a man who robbed a Wachovia bank today.

The man entered the bank, in the College Park Shopping Center on College Park Boulevard, about 1:30 p.m. He implied he had a weapon and demanded money from a teller, police spokesman Adam Bernstein said.

The man fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, Bernstein said. No injuries were reported.

The robber was described as a black man, in his 30s or 40s, with a medium to heavy build and wearing dark clothes and gloves, Bernstein said.

Anyone with information about the case is asked to call the Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP (1-888-562-5887).

Crime down?

Five shootings, four armed robberies, three home/hotel invasions, two rapes, one fugitive, and one teen dragged by car...all in VB alone over the last week and a half. Yeah, I'd say crime has gone down.

Isnt Wachovia....

... out of money anyway?

With the wave of bank issues today...

...I would've had the manager ask for proof of gub...uh, gun.
