So readers, you weren’t impressed with "The Pajama Diaries" last week. Let’s try this one.
You might recognize "Pearls Before Swine" from The Pilot’s comics trial last year. It focuses on the misadventures of an egotistical rat and a slow-witted pig. Author Stephan Pastis launched the strip in 2002, and it’s become enormously popular in the United States. It won National Cartoonists Society awards for Best Newspaper Comic Strip in 2004 and in 2007.You can learn more at www.unitedfeatures.com (click on comics).

Can't stand this strip...
Pearls Before Swine
Please, please, please add this strip. It's not every day that I can track down Link to get it so it would be great to have it come to the door. You might not have picked the best week to sample though. The crocodiles tend to be the funniest strips
And yes, ditch For Better. Since the time jump, I just can't get track of who's who or what happened to whom. The only touching moments have come from the strips with the old father in the hospital, and there haven't been any funny strips in forever.
While you're at it, toss Rex Morgan (the only one I don't read, well that and Prince Valliant on Sundays). Serials can be entertaining, but these two aren't.
Others; Marvin is almost always a yawner. Sally Forth and Baby Blues hit the mark on rare occasion, but I wouldn't miss them.
New comic strip
I stopped reading FBOFW months ago and would love to see it replaced.
Keep "Pearls" Can Garfield
Do we have to necessarily lose to improve?
There is a reason Pearls has won Best Newspaper Comic Strip twice in the past 4 years: it's funny.
There are many newspapers in the country carrying more than 21 strips. Please look to the Seattle Times, which carries 35: http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/comicsgames/
Or even the Salt Lake Tribune, running 30+ and a 8 page color Sunday comics.
If we have to cut out a strip, how about Garfield or Marvin, neither of which has been funny ever?

Pearls Before Swine!
I've been a fan of Pearls Before Swine for years, and I hope the Pilot picks it up this time around. We have more than enough "kids-say-the-darndest-things/parenting-is-hard" strips - how about something fresh and actually funny on the comics page for a change?

I love Pearls Before Swine! I really hope that this comic takes the place of Better for Worse because I would love to read this comic everyday. Its really funny and the characters are cool. Please everyone vote for Pearls Before Swine!

I think FBOFW should be eliminated. He the author wants to retire - she should do it. I don't want to read back to the beginning. Also, get rid of Fox Trot - now that it's only on Sunday it has lost its edge.
Pearls Before Swine is okay. Why not have Shoe during the week or how about Rose?

I think "Pearls Before Swine" is about the funniest thing out there. I think Pearls should replace FBOFW and "Get Fuzzy" should replace "Marvin."
