Obama camp says Va. too close to call

Virginia remains a tossup state in this year's presidential race, the national manager for Democrat Barack Obama's campaign said Friday.

"It's a dead heat now, and I think it will be a dead heat right up to Election Day," David Plouffe, Obama's national campaign manager, said during a telephone press conference.

Plouffe said the campaign has made progress in registering new voters who are minorities or under 25 and likely to back Obama. The Democrat has made numerous appearances in Virginia over the past four weeks.

Virginia hasn't backed a Democratic presidential candidate since 1964. A poll released by CNN this week showed Republican John McCain leading Obama in Virginia, 49 percent to 43 percent. The survey had a margin of error of plus or minus 3 percentage points.

I sure as heck would not. McCain is 72 years old, and not in th best of health. God forbid anything happen to him, and we will have Palin as president. Is that what you honetly want????

FYI, Myra has served this community honorably unless you buy into the Nazi style attack from BO on Fox. I suppose she doesn't carry enough weapons (ala Palin) to satisfy you. She hasn't killed any moose that I know of. She has however, represented just about as many constituents as Sarah (mocking the women's movement) Palin. While I admire Myra, I don't want her to be VP either.

I was right. When she claimed that she went to Iraq, she was really in Kuwait. I bet she stayed at that luxury hotel in Dubai too! Ireland what a foreign policy hotspot!!!

Experience or No Experience The Voters Choice

What experience does the Junior Senator B.HO. have that is equal to the business and executive experience of Governor Sarah Palin?

Barack Hussein Obama is a lawyer, social worker (community organizer) and a junior legislator of less than 2 years, who votes present 40% of the time and votes 100% along party lines. No change, with zero accomplishments.

Governor Sarah Plain includes business and executive experience, Commander of a National Guard, Mayor and CEO, City Councilor and a community PTA member over a 14 year period and unlike Obama she has not snorted cocaine.

No wonder the media, has not completed the vetting of Barack Hussein Obama or asked him tough questions, like what qualifies him more to run for President than Governor Sarah Palin? What makes him ready for the job, more than Sarah Palin? Keep smiling……

just consider these thoughts: 1) GREENSPAN: the country can't afford $3.3 trillion of tax cuts proposed by Republican presidential nominee without corresponding spending reductions. McCain wants to eliminate porkbarrel spending and earmarks which has only resulted in $171 billion since 2001. 2)PETRAEUS: he would never declare "victory" in IRAQ. 3) BUSH: will begin troop withdrawal in February 2009. authorized a policy of incursions into pakistan in july. shifts troops to afghanistan to combat the taliban.

Now, consider this: Obama was ahead of Bush in proposing to shift troops to Afghanistan, ahead of Bush in suggesting a timetable for Iraq withdrawal (subsequently embraced by Maliki), and right about not fighting the war in the first place.

it's time for virginians to vote in the best interest of the country, not just ourselves. i would argue that obama has shown the judgment to lead. consider this.

Unemployment is NOT at an all time high. The GDP continues to be in the possitive. Are we experiencing an economic slow-down? Yes, absolutely. But if you want first hand experience of economic chaos, there are many third-world countries that you really need to visit.
You "woe is me" attitude is old, worn out, and way too exagerated. Stay away from Daily Kos, Salon, and all the other nut-root blogs. They only offer propaganda, not facts.
