Sarah Palin to campaign in Virginia Beach on Sept. 18

Palin took over a city with no debt and left with the town $22 million dollars in debt. She raised sales taxes and built, not a much needed sewage system, but a sports complex! She is a borrow and spend Republican like George Bush.

Taxes are why most of said companies (employers) moved manufacturing overseas. Tax them (employers) even more and they will eventually do as the once mighty US shipping companies did which was to reflag in another country. I know you will now bring up that they moved to avoid paying a fair wage plus benefits to employees so take a look at INTEL's wage scale at all the plants it moved to Israel. You will see it was the promised contactual tax rates that caused the move as stated by Intel's CEO on 60 minutes.
Also if any of you own any stocks or mutual funds that invest in the companies you wish to tax then be careful what you wish for! I also will give you 1,000 to 1 odds you never look for a USA manufactured alternative to the housefull of foreign products you have, do you hypocrite!

The McCain Palin ticket along with their surrogates had a very tough day in the mainstream press. I was a little worried immediately following the GOP convention, but I am much less worried now. If the polls are showing only a 2 point jump for McPalin after their big party, and the addition of their Golden Child, then conservatives better be very concerned about their chances in Nov.

REpugs must think the american people are stupid. I mean, do we need 8 MORE years of failed trickle-down economics? Lol. You guys are funny. The economy issue is so simple. Companies who outsource their businesses overseas will have the crap taxed out of them, to take away the extra profits that they would have earned by that action. Companies who keep their companies inside the us will receive tax CUTS. Now, I know that you republicans are thick headed, but see if you can follow the logic here:

How long have you followed presidential politics, Racquet? I've been paying attention since 1964, and I can tell you that there is NOTHING new about your fear tactic. You are just trying to make people afraid to vote for a Democrat by calling him a socialist. When your side has NO plans, I guess that you have nothing left, but to try to scare people away from someone who does have ideas.

Palin's being shipped back to Alaska so that she can study up on what foreign policy opinions she might like to have, learn the official McCain lines on Iraq, and deal harshly with any remaining small town librarians that might stand in her way.

A senior McCain campaign official advises that, despite the requests from the media, Palin won't submit to a formal interview anytime soon. Until she's ready -- and until she's comfortable -- which might not be for a long while -- the media will have to wait.

For those of you who seem so enamored with Gov. Sarah Palin, it might be worth noting that she oversees the budget for the Department of Education and Early Development Special Schools in Alaska.

The following programs are included within this component:
Special Education Service Agency (SESA)

The Annual budget for 2007, which preceded Gov. Palin was $8,265,300.

The Annual budget for 2008, enacted by Gov. Palin is $3,156,000.

The Annual budget for 2009, enacted by Gov. Palin is $3,156,000.

This is a cut in special needs services to children in Alaska of 5,109,300 , or 62%.

So, as the Alaska State Budget description states, "Without the supplementary services the child’s needs would not be met by the local school district in most cases."

Did 62% of all of the special needs children in Alaska stop having needs once Gov. Palin took office?

Palin is an extraordinary person and a remarkable woman, mom, and public servant.

Just to support your case even more, did you see this week that about a hundred Chicago students boycotted the schools and, with their parents' assistance, drove to a nearby wealthy suburb and attempted to enroll there? Their statement was that the Chicago schools have failed them, have failed their parents, and have failed their grandparents. Not exactly a proud day for Obama's hometown. P.S. Gertz Point, of course many voters for the other side watched Mr. McCain's speech. I take it that is what you meant by your comment, as I am sure few non-voters were up that late to see it (students).

Repbulicans are very good about telling us what they are against, why we should be afraid and what we should be afraid of (the big, bad liberal boogy man), but they offer NO ideas for dealing with the defecit, educating our children, helping Americans (yeah, you remember your fellow citizens?) find health care etc. They offer nothing except a hockey mom and a war monger... how quaint.

Incidentally, also according to Nielsen, 97.5 million people watched the Super Bowl this year. That would be more than twice as many who watched Obama' speech. As you said, "Ignorance does not do you justice. It just make you look stupid. Please try reading."

The attacks on this woman are appalling. The Obama and Liberal media are freaking out because she is bringing there double standards to light. The left is down playing the fact that they wanted to completely withdraw from Irag and Afghanistan, but they are now realizing that would have been a major mistake. Now our troops that are leaving with a victory on there mind instead of a retreat and failure.
America will prevail and be strong with McCain in office.
Raising taxes in a slow economy is not a good idea!
Weakening our military when we are in a war on terrorism is not smart either.

Chris33, if that is your criteria for not voting for someone, then you sure had better not vote for Mr.Obama. Or do you have selective baggage searches. Obama gets a free pass on all his misdealings, but Ms. Palin gets raked across the coals. Why must people be so shallow? I know that Gov. Palin has some issues that haunt her. But her issues pale in comparison to Sen. Obama’s issues. Besides, it really sounds like you get your information from tabloid gossip bloggers like DailyKos and Moveon.org. You really can’t be an intelligent person and believe anything those types of loons produce.
