Wind Gusts - Not Even Rain

Hanna was a non-event where I live at the beach. I got a few wind gusts that kept the cat interested, but there was no power loss and the parking lot that ALWAYS floods whenever there is a weather event (usually noreaster) didn't even see a drop of water. It was dry as a bone from the wind. Hanna was a big yawn.

Lost it all house blew over

Northern Accomack County

We're still getting gusting winds and intermittent downpours at 6:40 PM. We lost power for about 2 hours and the wind has wreaked havoc upon my doors. Otherwise we've gotten some seriously needed rain.

In Deep Creek

11:46 AM in the Creekwood section of Deep Creek- it's just now rained a little bit. Since I woke up at 8:30, there's been very little rain to speak of, some wind gusts but nothing significant. I'm so glad there's no damage and we haven't lost power but I'm disappointed there hasn't been more rain. We really needed it. My back door is open so my dog can go in and out. The geese on the lake are enjoying the weather. :)

Hannah

10:13 AM, Saturday morning, September 6th, at 21st and Artic. From my window the rain has stopped, the sun is shining hard, but the wind is still blowing the trees around like crazy. I think I'll walk to the beach. :-)

That was it? It's over?

Out here at the beach at 9:28 a.m., it's a little windy, but looking at the radar and skies, it's pretty much over. The last good thunderstorm that came through was worse than what we saw this morning. I guess we dodged another bullet that ended up out in Roanoake and Lynchburg.

Storm

Here in Strawbridge it is just a little windy with showers off and on. Its 9 am on Saturday. Good day to go to the movies.

KI report

Down here on the island the power is still up. No generators are buzzing yet. Wind gusts are audible from inside the house. Trees are bending but nothing too bad. A few minutes ago it rained hard enough to eliminate visibility.
