Weather service: Risk of rip currents continues at beaches

The weather will be perfect again today for hitting the beach, the National Weather Service is warning swimmers and surfers of a continued risk of rip currents.

The risk if the dangerous currents is moderate today from Maryland to the Outer Banks, despite expected sunny skies and a high temperature of about 86, the weather service says.

Tonight could bring patchy fog with a low of about 72, according to the forecast.

A 30 percent chance of storms tomorrow will increase into tomorrow evening with a high of 87 tomorrow and a low of about 70 expected, the weather service says.

Air quality in Hampton Roads is expected to be moderate, according to the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality.
