Chesapeake City Hall now offers several DMV services

CHESAPEAKE

Beginning Monday, people could go to City Hall to get vehicle titles, order license plates or register their vehicles.

Customers cannot get their driver's licenses, learning permits or ID cards at City Hall.

The Chesapeake DMV Select is open on the first floor. It will be operated by the office of Chesapeake Commissioner of Revenue Ray Conner.

Among the services now available at City Hall are original or substitute vehicle titles; original or renewal of vehicle registrations; license plate orders, including specialized and personalized plate s; and handicapped parking placards.

The Commissioner of Revenue is located at 306 Cedar Road. It is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Why is the City taking on this extra expense at a time when money is tight

Why would anyone want to go to Great Bridge and park a half mile away when they can go to the Greenbrier DMV and park right outside the door?

Is Ray Connor planing to run for a higher office and he wants to get his name out there?
