Since it is the democratic party that attempts to gain votes through getting felons voting rights back and jail house voter registration, why would you be surprised that a crook stole your sign? Maybe tacit approval of criminal behavior brings unintended consequences?

The Obama signs were stolen by fellow Obama supporters! Because Obama supporters are thieves in general... or something like that. Sheesh. Allision, you probably live in an "anti-America" portion of the state and these sign thieves are preventing you from expressing your anti-American positions. I am sorry you have been the victim of childish pranks, but you are not alone in this matter other are also having signs stolen or vandalized and YES THEY ARE McCain signs. What you and others are experiencing in Virginia Beach are children who are left unattended by parents doing childish Pranks. I am not saying that all the incidents are kids but when you have children out all hrs of the night without supervision what do you expect. I have also heard some Obama supporters boasting on how they are causing problems by removing both candidates’ signs to cause both sides to accuse the other of this very thing. If you want to Vote for Nobama then do so by all means, but DO NOT BLAME CHILDISH PRANKS for the reason for your vote. Some people would say this is a lack of good judgment. Just because your family are officers in the military, does not make you decision on who to vote for any different than the average Joes. These people really work and sweat for a living. I know I have been on both sides and know how most Officers in the Military work.

If you go to Obama's website and try to get a sign, you will see that you have to purchase the signs. They don't hand them out. Some of the signs are as little as $2.50 a piece. I believe what is happening to you is your signs are being stolen by people who support the very thing you support. Not the GOP! It makes perfect sense. Most of the people who support Obama want everything handed to them for free. Why should a sign be any different? There is no conspiracy. Too bad you wasted so much time on that letter to the editor.

How about the countless McCain/Palin yard signs, like mine, that have been defaced or stolen? Do you harbore the same feelings when it comes to the other side? Or are you just another one of those selfish, one-sided complainers?
Not only was my lawn sign defaced, but the purpetraters took it upon themselves to vandalize our flower bed. Please have a little sympathy for me too.

Maybe it is an extension of Obama’s plan to spread things from those that have to those who do not.

I’m sure your sign is now in the possession of someone who could not, through no fault of their own, obtain their own through honest means. Feel glorious in the knowledge that your initiative and ability provided a sign for someone less fortunate (through no fault of their own). You should fill your yard with signs in case there are others in need.

Maybe someone can't afford the gas to drive to get a sign? Perhaps someone has had to shut off their internet service and cannot research where to get their own? Perhaps your neighbors have lost McCain signs?

My car got egged in my driveway last week, but I don't believe that because I have a --SHATNER/HASSLEHOFF 08-- sign in my front yard that someone sent the covert hit team named "The Eggmen" to get me.

It's more likely that Halloween just came early to my street this year.

I am pleased to say that my Obama sign still waves proudly in my front yard. Perhaps the thief who took yours simply couldn't locate one for him/herself and was desperate to show their support for Mr. Obama by having one in their yard.

How do you know that another Obama supporter who did not want to make a donation to the campaign didn't steal it?
