CHESAPEAKE 

Triple homicide Chesapeake Police need assistance on a triple homicide that occurred in the Crestwood section of the city on June 7, 2005. At about 9:30 p.m. Nathaniel Higgins III, Motty Toxey, Jr. and Andre Jackson were in Higgins’ home in the 500 block of Marcus Street when they were shot and killed.

Bank robbed On December 24 an armed robbery occurred in the BB&T bank located at 1809 Greenbrier Parkway. At about 9 a.m. entered the bank and presented a note demanding money from the teller. Once he obtained the money he fled toward the back of the bank.
Description The robber is described as a black male, late 20’s to early 30’s and about 6 feet 4 inches tall and 180 pounds. He was last seen wearing a dark blue/light blue and white camouflage hooded sweater with light colored blue jeans. - posted Dec. 31

Armed robbery On December 12 shortly before midnight, a man was unloading his van in the 1100 block of Merchants Court when he was approached by another man pointing an object at his back. The robber demanded money then fled between the apartment buildings.
Description The robber is described as a black male, about 6 feet tall and 18 to 25 years old. He was last seen wearing a red/white sweatshirt and dark pants.

Golf club robbed On December 4 a burglary was reported from the Eagle Point Golf Club located at 1501 Cahoon Parkway. At about 7 a.m. employees arrived to find that a back window had been pried open and cash was taken from several registers. 

 

Fatal shooting On October 19 a homicide occurred at the 2400 block of Strawberry Lane. Shortly before 11:30 p.m. Reginald Leon Webb, 49, ran out of his house in the 1600 block of Atlantic Avenue when a number of people forced entry through the rear door. Webb was chased by at least one of the people, who fired a weapon at him. Webb was fatally wounded and collapsed in the 2400 block of Strawberry Lane. - posted Dec. 12

Man robbed in parking lot On Nov. 29 shortly after 1 p.m. a man was walking to his car in the Taco Bell parking lot located at 929 North Battlefield Boulevard when he was approached by a man pointing a black handgun. After obtaining money the robber ran away across the parking lot.
Description The robber is described as a black male with a light complexion, about 5 feet 8 inches tall with a goatee, a black do-rag, a black shirt and black jeans. Anyone who witnessed the robbery is asked to call The Crime Line. - posted Dec. 5

House robbed On November 14 a burglary occurred from a residence in the 2300 block of Bugle Drive. Some time after 5:30 p.m. the front door was forced open and several items were stolen, among them was the victim’s credit card. Shortly after 9:30 p.m. the same evening the victim’s credit card was used in an illegal transaction at the Target located at 4200 Portsmouth Boulevard. Ten minutes later the credit card was used in the Toys R Us also on Portsmouth Boulevard.
Description The burglar is described as a white male with brown hair wearing a camouflage coat over Washington Redskins pants. - posted Oct. 26

Armed robbery On November 19 shortly before 11:00 a.m. the man entered the Fast Auto & Payday Loans located at 1401 South Military Highway, pointed a silver handgun at the employees and demanded money. The man then fled toward Paramont Avenue with the money in a white and blue grocery bag.
Description The robber is described as a black male between 18 and 21 years old, with a medium complexion, and about 5 feet 5 inches tall and 145 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black flight jacket with fur collar, a black t-shirt over dark blue jeans and white sneakers. He also wore sunglasses and a black bandana to cover his face. - posted Oct. 26

Homicide  Police are seeking the public's help in the death of Jose Rodriguez-Mancia, the 31-year-old man whose body was found Nov. 20 on Douglas Road near the Great Dismal Swamp National Wildlife Refuge. Police ruled the death a homicide. Police are asking anyone who may have seen Rodriguez-Mancia between Nov. 14 and Nov. 20, or has any information about him, to call. -posted Nov. 25

 

Man killed On January 10 a homicide occurred in the 3500 block of Dunedin Drive. At about 8:00 p.m. Robert Whiting was confronted by three men who began to struggle with him. One of the attackers then pulled a handgun and shot Whiting, fatally wounding him. Description The attackers are described as black males, between 13 and 18 years old, wearing all dark clothing. They were last seen running toward the 3500 block of Helensburg Drive. - posted Nov. 20

Homicide On June 15 a homicide occurred in the 1700 block of Parkview Drive. At about 2 a.m. Marcus Jamal Boyce was in the parking lot with friends when two men began to argue with him. One produced a handgun and fatally shot Boyce before fleeing in a burgundy colored Lexus.
Description The armed man is described as black, 22 to 30 years old and about 5 feet 10 inches tall and 170 pounds. The driver is described as a black male in his mid 20’s, with braided hair and about 5 feet 7 inches tall and 170 pounds. The vehicle was last seen heading toward Greenbrier Parkway. - posted Nov. 20

Darren Cole Carter, 42, of the 3600 block of Sylvan Lane, Virginia Beach, is wanted on charges of felony larceny. Carter is described as having brown hair, brown eyes, 5 feet 9 inches tall and about 145 pounds. - posted Jan. 7

, 20, of the 2400 block of Acorn St., Portsmouth, is wanted on charges of identity fraud and three counts of forgery. Bailey is described as having black hair, brown eyes, 5 feet 6 inches tall and about 120 pounds. posted Jan. 7

 

Walter Thomas Moore, 41, of the 900 block of Calypso Dr., Virginia Beach, is wanted on charges of failing to appear in court on a fraud charge. Moore is described as having brown hair, blue eyes, 5 feet 11 inches tall and about 160 pounds. posted Jan. 7

 

Brandon Jamal Applewhite, 26, of the 2700 block of Portsmouth Blvd., Portsmouth, is wanted on charges of felony larceny. Applewhite is described as having black hair, brown eyes, 6 feet 2 inches tall and about 170 pounds. posted Jan. 7  

 

Daria Igorevna Bobenko, 21, of the 400 block of Barracuda St., Nags Head, N.C., is wanted on charges of failing to appear in court on a felony larceny/concealment charge. Bobenko is described as having brown hair, green eyes, 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 100 pounds. posted Jan. 7

 

 

 

Jarrett Lawrence Coleman, 27, of the 1100 block of Rodgers St., is wanted on charges of abduction and assault. Coleman is described as having brown hair, brown eyes, 5 feet 11 inches tall and about 150 pounds. - posted Dec. 31

 

Ronald Jack Lovelace, 35, of the1300 block of North George Washington Highway, is wanted on charges of three counts of felony larceny. Lovelace is described as having brown hair, brown eyes, 5 feet 11 inches tall and about 245 pounds.  posted Dec. 31

 

Shawnyette Laurice Edwards, 41, of the 1400 block of Tanners Creek Rd., Norfolk, is wanted on charges of identity fraud, forgery and driving with a suspended/revoked license. Edwards is described as having black hair, brown eyes, 5 feet 9 inches tall and about 125 pounds.  posted Dec. 31

 

Beth Ann Taylor, 28, of the 700 block of Little Fork Rd., Suffolk, is wanted on charges of misdemeanor larceny, identity theft and forgery.Taylor is described as having blond hair, hazel eyes, 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 170 pounds.  posted Dec. 31

 

 

Jamar Markeish Bivins, 22, of the 4000 block of Hailey Ct., is wanted on charges of distributing cocaine/imitation cocaine. Bivins is described as black hair, brown eyes, 5 feet 11 inches tall and about 190 pounds. - posted Dec. 27

 

Gene Stanton Gesch, 28, of the 600 block of Luther St., is wanted on charges of possessing, with intent to distribute, cocaine. Gesch is described as having brown hair, brown eyes, 5 feet 6 inches tall and about 170 pounds. posted Dec. 27

 

Maurice Duane Brewer, 22, of the 1500 block of Belafonte Dr., Portsmouth, is wanted on charges of distributing cocaine. Brewer is described as having black hair, brown eyes, 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 150 pounds. posted Dec. 27

 

Carlotta Rae Gesch, 27, of the 600 block of Luther St., is wanted on charges of possessing, with intent to distribute, cocaine. Gesch is described as having brown hair, brown eyes, 5 feet 7 inches tall and about 140 pounds. posted Dec. 27

 

Michael Anthony Illiano, 20, of the 6400 block of Duquesne Place, Virginia Beach, is wanted on charges of malicious wounding. Illiano is described as having brown hair, brown eyes, 5 feet 8 inches tall and about 160 pounds. - posted Dec. 17

 

Corey Lamont Spruill, 24, of the 2600 block of E. Virginia Beach Blvd, Norfolk, is wanted on charges of burglary and misdemeanor larceny. Spruill is described as having , black hair, brown eyes, 6 feet tall and about 185 pounds. posted Dec. 17

 

Frank Christopher Heinz, 38, of the 1700 block of Fisher Ave., is wanted on charges of felony larceny. Heinz is described as having brown hair, brown eyes, 6 feet tall and about 220 pounds. posted Dec. 17

 

Andrea Smith, 28, of the 400 block of Keith Court, is wanted on charges of fraud and two counts of forgery. Smith is described as having black hair, brown eyes, 5 feet 3 inches tall and about 130 pounds. posted Dec. 17

 

Raymond Floyd Beck, 21, of the 2600 block of Berkley Ave., is wanted on charges of making threats to bomb/burn, trespassing, assault, and damaging property. Beck is described as having brown hair, hazel eyes, 6 feet 3 inches tall and about 145 pounds. - posted Dec. 12

 

Antonio Lashawn Wilson, 31, of the 1800 block of Lexington St., Norfolk, is wanted on charges of burglary and assault. Wilson is described as having black hair, brown eyes, 6 feet 3 inches tall and about 200 pounds.  posted Dec. 12

 

 

Michele Lee Sutton, 29, of the 1000 block of Coach Circle, Virginia Beach, is wanted on charges of felony larceny and fraud. Sutton is described as having brown hair, blue eyes, 5 feet 11 inches tall and about 190 pounds.  posted Dec. 12

 

Jjan Emmile Hunley, 38, of the 300 block of Shadowlake Dr., is wanted on charges of failing to appear in court on a felony habitual offender charge. Hunley is described as having black hair, brown eyes, 6 feet 2 inches tall and about 175 pounds.  posted Dec. 12

 

Sergio Antonio Porter, 19, of the 4100 block of Sloop Trail, is wanted on charges of robbery and misdemeanor larceny. Porter is described as having black hair, brown eyes, 5 feet 11 inches tall and about 135 pounds. - posted Dec. 4

 

Jermaine Shiquill Epps, 18, of the 900 block of Lake Village Dr., is wanted on charges of failing to appear in court on a felony larceny charge. Epps is described as having black hair, brown eyes, 5 feet 7 inches tall and about 165 pounds. - posted Dec. 4

 

Crystal Michelle Farrell, 42, of the 1200 block of Edgewood Ave., is wanted on charges of failing to report to jail on a DUI charge. Farrell is described as having brown hair, brown eyes, 5 feet 4 inches tall and about 230 pounds. - posted Dec. 4

 

  

NORFOLK 

Carjacking, shooting, abduction On Monday, December 8 at about 4:30 p.m. a driver was traveling north on Tidewater Drive entering the ramp to I-64 west and was cut off and stopped by a white work van with a faded green logo, in the travel lane of the ramp. The passenger of the van approached the driver’s side of the vehicle and subsequently shot the driver. The assailant carjacked the victim’s car and abducted the victim. He drove the victim’s car onto I-64 west, then immediately exited the interstate southbound on Tidewater Drive and then turned onto Thole Street. A struggle ensued between the victim and shooter, causing the vehicle to stop. The shooter fled on foot and was witnessed being picked up by the same suspect white van.

Doncelle McClendon, 20, of the 3300 block of Lens Ave., is wanted on charges of felony hit and run. McClendon is described as six feet tall, 165 pounds, with brown eyes and black hair in braids. McClendon has several tattoos including a skeleton and the words “Where’s my money” on his upper right arm and “RIP Derrick” on his left forearm. - posted Nov. 26

 

Michael Maurice Spencer, 52, of the 1600 Block of Melon St., is wanted on charges of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. Spencer is described as a black male, 6 feet tall, and 190 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Spencer has discoloration on both hands because of scaring caused by burns. posted Nov. 26

Jermaine Dwayne Williams, 29, of Norfolk and Virginia Beach, is wanted on charges of felony failure to appear. Williams is described as a 6 feet tall, 225 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Williams has several tattoos including “Ruby” on his neck, “Born Ready” on both hands, praying hands on his left shoulder and several others on both arms. - posted Nov. 26

William Eugene Mickens, 23, of the 9300 block First View St., is wanted on charges of misdemeanor assault. Mickens is described as 6 feet tall, 220 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. Mickens has “Buck 50” tattooed on is right arm. - posted Nov. 26

 

PORTSMOUTH

 

Homicide On May 23 at 2:30 a.m. Portsmouth police responded to Maryview Hospital for a gunshot victim in the parking lot. Stephen Anthony Woodis, 23, later died of his injuries. Detectives discovered that earlier in the evening, the victim and two friends were in the area of Freedom Avenue and Tazewell Street, in a gold Volvo, when a black, four-door sedan approached. The occupants of the sedan began shooting at the victim and the two friends, while they were waiting for the light to change. The two friends drove the victim to the hospital where police was notified. - posted Dec. 19

Restaurant robbed On November 5 at 7:11 p.m. a man entered the rear door of the Hay Hing Chinese Restaurant in the 3400 block of Deep Creek Blvd. The man demanded money, while grabbing an employee by his clothing. The man pointed a handgun at the employee’s head while taking an undisclosed amount of money from the pocket of the employee. The man left the business through the rear door and ran away.
Description The robber is described as a black male, between 30 and 35 years of age, and 6 feet tall. He was wearing a dark blue jacket with a hood, a white t-shirt and black skullcap. - posted Nov. 20

Lawn care scam Several elderly citizens in Portsmouth have been targeted in a lawn care scam. After talking the victims out of money up front for the work, the men leave and no work is done. In some cases the men convince the victims to loan them money. Only elderly citizens are being targeted at this time.
Description The scammers are described as black males. One is between the ages of 38 and 40, 6 feet tall, around 160 to 180 pounds with thin medium length hair and facial hair. The second man is between the ages of 53 to 55, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 160 to 170 pounds and balding. - posted Oct. 23  

Felisa Brown, 34, of the 400 block of Harvard St. in Norfolk is wanted on charges of conspiracy, grand larceny, felonious assault, contributing to the delinquency of a minor and forgery. - posted Dec. 3

Calvin Michael Williams, 24, of the 20 block of Lawrence Circle, Portsmouth, is wanted on charges of forging public records, identity theft, driving on a suspended license and violation of a court order. - posted Nov. 20

 

Christina Nicole Autery, 31, of the 1400 block of Deep Creek Blvd., is wanted on charges of failure to appear on a felony and contempt of court. - posted Nov. 20

VIRGINIA BEACH

Embezzlement Police are looking for a 24-year-old man suspected of embezzling more than $20,000 from a mobile phone business at Lynnhaven Mall. Lawrence Eugene Dumas, who worked at The Mobile Team in the mall, is suspected of using a customer’s account information to open several other accounts, Virginia Beach police spokeswoman Margie Long said. - posted Dec. 24

Florist robbed  On Tuesday, December 9, at approximately 9:17 a.m., an armed robbery occured at the Norfolk Florist located in the 3300 block of Holland Road. A man entered the front door of the business and asked the store clerk about roses. He then displayed a black handgun and demanded all of the money. The clerk complied and gave him an undisclosed amount of money from the cash register. The man also robbed the clerk of her money from her purse.

Description The robber is described as a black male, in his mid 20’s, 5’7” to 5’11” tall, medium build, dressed in a black business-type suit, with a baseball cap turned backwards. He has a mark underneath of his right eye. He was armed with a small black gun, possibly a revolver. - posted Dec. 12

Bank robbed On Monday, December 1 at 12:07 p.m. a man walked into the BB&T Bank located in the 5200 block of Princess Anne Rd., Virginia Beach, carrying a plastic shopping bag. The man approached the teller and displayed a handgun, demanding money. The teller complied and placed an undisclosed amount of money in the bag. The nan fled on foot toward the Dollar General Store.
Description The robber is described as a black male, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, weighing 150 to 170lbs. He was last seen wearing a black ski mask, black hooded sweatshirt, black gloves, and white sneakers. He was carrying a black handgun. - posted Dec. 4

Car stolen On September 29 at 3 p.m. a man inquired about purchasing a vehicle at the Select Imports car dealership in the 5000 block of Virginia Beach Boulevard. The man was given the keys to a 2004 Mercedes CLK500 to inspect the engine, and as the sales person attended to another customer, the man started the car and drove away.
Description The man is described as white, 35 to 40 years of age, 5 feet 8 inches to 5 feet 10 inches tall, and 160 to 170 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black t-shirt, blue jean shorts and a black Nike baseball cap.
The stolen Mercedes Benz is a 2-door coupe, tan in color, and the last four numbers of the VIN are: 8970.

Car stereo stolen On Nov. 1 at 8:30 a.m. two people broke into a locked car stereo display case within the Wal-Mart store located at 2021 Lynnhaven Parkway. They removed a Pioneer car stereo, continued to shop, and later paid for the other items at the checkout. As they exited the store without paying for the car stereo, the security alarm sounded and they were stopped by a store employee, who briefly checked their receipt and released them.

Convenience store robbed On October 20 at 4:09 a.m. officers responded to a report of a robbery in the 3300 block of Holland Rd. at the 7 Eleven convenience store. A man entered the store, approached the female cashier, displayed a handgun and ordered her to give him money. After receiving money from the cash register, the man fled from the business.

Description The robber is described as a light-skinned black male between 30 and 35 years old, 6 feet 1 inch to 6 feet 3 inches tall, 160-170 pounds with a clean-shaven face with very short facial hair. He was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black ball cap with a white “Nike swoosh” on the front, black jeans faded along the legs, and white sneakers with red, white, and black on the soles. Hewas armed with a black handgun.- posted Nov. 14 

Scooter stolen Between 9 p.m. on Sept. 12 and 8 a.m. on Sept. 13 a motor scooter was stolen from the parking lot of the Double Tree Hotel located in the 1900 block of 19th Street.
The is a 71 year-old semi-disabled retired school teacher, who used the scooter for transportation and recreation. Insurance did not cover the theft.

Description The missing scooter is a 2003 Vespa, red in color, bearing VIN# ZAPC16C1535006593. There is a scratch on the right rear fender and the right rear tail light is damaged. There are several other identifying marks, known to the owner and the lead detective.

Italian ice shop robbed On October 11 at approximately 8:17 p.m. a man entered the Rita’s Italian Ice located in the 1000 block of Nimmo Parkway and displayed a revolver to one of the employees. Both employees locked themselves in the office and called 911. The man then proceeded to remove the cash register from the business and flee out of the front door. No one was injured during the robbery.
Description The armed robber is described as a white male in his late teens to early 20’s, 5 feet 7 inches to 5 feet 9 inches tall, 145-160 pounds, wearing gray pants, black hoodie, purple mask, black shoes with white laces and markings on the side. He was armed with a small black revolver. - posted Oct. 17

Police seek info in 2006 death On October 11th, 2006, at 11:27 p.m., Virginia Beach Police and Emergency Medical Services personnel found an unresponsive man in the 5800 block of Wesleyan Drive on the campus of Virginia Wesleyan College. The man was identified as 57 year-old Walter J. Zakrzewski, a campus security officer. He was found near the Boyd Campus Dining Center. Mr. Zakrzewski was pronounced dead at the scene by a member of EMS. posted Oct. 17

Virginia Beach Warrant/Fugitive Detectives need your assistance in locating Tyrik Lamar Wiggins. He is wanted in Virginia Beach on four counts of robbery, four counts of use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, conspiracy to commit a felony, and wearing a mask in public. 

Tyrik Wiggins, 18, of the the 3700 block of Windridge Road, is wanted on charges of robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony, conspiracy to commit a felony, and wearing a mask in public. Wiggins is described as 6 feet tall, 140 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes. - posted Dec. 12

 

 

Richard Richardson Jr., 19, of the 3100 block of Green Lakes Circle, is wanted on charges of robbery, use of a firearm in commission of a felony and conspiracy to commit a felony. Richardson is described as being black and standing about 5-foot-11. He has black braided or dreadlocked hair and tattoos on his arms. - posted Nov. 20
