Letters to Editor - bLetters
We welcome your opinion on public issues, in either of two ways. You can submit a letter to the editor for possible publication in the printed edition. The Virginian-Pilot welcomes letters to the editor on all topics, although concise letters (150 words or less) on public issues will receive priority. Letters may be edited for length, style and clarity and writers are limited to one published letter every month. Please add your name, city, street address and daytime telephone number for confirmation.
The other way is to comment on the published letters in this blog. In this online forum, you can comment as much as you want by using the comment box at the end of each entry.

Joe out of touch
Joe you ignorant slu*, You must truly hate the troops. What part of France are you from? How can you think Biden is a better choice when he pals with that Terrorist Ayers, Oh thats not correct, Oh well It doesn't have to be, I know it to be true. Get on board the McSame/palin ticket, Don't forget She's Hot You Betcha
Same Ole, Same Ole
Well, Joe, for a hardened democrat, what comment could we expect?
My personal favorite
was the "shout out" during the debate. I never thought I would ever be able to say that I heard a "shout out" in a vice presidential debate. Oh well, we did lower the bar considerably...
VP Bias
Anyone else notice that every letter to the editor today was anti Palin? VP shows its bias....of course if they decide to let me post today, it will be several hours from now before this actually gets posted.
Factual?
I have to assume the writer didn't watch the debate or had the sound turned off. There is no other way anyone could come to that conclusion. Biden told so many outright lies on national TV that it was hard to count them. He even used his fist, hands and loud voice while repeating the lies to make a point. Wow!!! McCain/Palin 08.
Concrete and factual?
Gotta laugh at that.
If his answers were so concrete why is it that he flubbed on the duties of the job he seeks and where they are delineated in the Constitution?
If his answers are so factual why did he resort to so many lies, including ones about his "neighborhood" and a restaurant that closed more than 10 years ago?
The only thing concrete and facual about Biden is that he is well known as a blockhead.
Great
So we should follow Portsmouth's lead on who to vote for this year? Considering your mayor and senator I personally will have to look elsewhere. In fact, P-Town is a metaphor for Obama. Most of the people don't pay taxes and those who do pay to much.
Doubts about McCain
I always thought McCain would put his country before himself but the appointment of Sarah Palin as VP candidate is both foolish and reckless. I see it as a win at all cost attitude. Oh well, in any case Obama will be good for this country in the eyes of the world.
