Man shot, wounded in Wards Corner area of Norfolk

NORFOLK

Police responded around 9:30 p.m. Sunday to a report of a gunshot victim in the 7600 block of Sheryl Drive, in the Wards Corner area of the city.

Norfolk police Sgt. Jim Robertson said an adult male was shot and was transported to a local hospital. The victim's injuries weren't life-threatening, Robertson said.

There was no word Sunday night from police on any suspects or motive.
