Tiana Norman scored her first varsity goal, the game winner, with 8 minutes left in the contest to lift the Hornets past the Pilots.

Girls volleyball

#1 Princess Anne d. Kempsville, 25-18, 25-23, 25-8

Nellie Gaca had 11 kills, Suzanne Lasseigne added 10, while Lindsay Kallam and Courtney Hechinger combined for 30 service points.

#2 Landstown d. Tallwood, 25-6, 25-11, 25-9

The Eagles’ Hannah Hugeback had 10 kills and Jenny Pry added 11 kills and Mia Padilla played errorless defense.

#3 Cox d. Salem, 25-7, 25-20, 25-15

Chelsea Blanford had 8 kills and Holly Smith totaled 5 kills.

#4 Kellam d. Ocean Lakes, 25-7, 25-20, 25-18

Courtney Lynn had 12 digs and Brogan Bair contributed 16 service points and 4 aces.

Shannon Breedlove had 23 digs, Taylor Pahno added kills and 5 blocks, and Courtney Anderson 19 assists and 5 kills.

Courtney Sump had 13 kills and Danilee Terry added 7.
