Posted to: Crime News North Carolina

Camden County sheriff’s deputies are searching for the person who shot and injured a man at his home early Tuesday morning.

Frank Crank, 45, was shot at 5:39 a.m. as he left his house on Lilly Road in the South Mills area to go to work, the Camden County Sheriff’s Office said.

He was flown to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening, the sheriff’s office said. He was in good condition Tuesday evening, a hospital spokeswoman said.

Deputies believe the shooter may have gone through a bean field behind the house to get to a vehicle. The shooter is not believed to be in the area, the sheriff’s office said.
