The remarks by Ambassador Welile Nhlapo will come at ODU’s second Africa at ODU Day, the university said in a news release.

Other guest speakers include Myrtle Witbooi and Hester Stephens, both activists for women’s and worker’s rights in South Africa.

Old Dominion started the event last year to highlight current events and cultural characteristics of African countries, the news release said.

Events begin at 12:30 p.m. at the Webb University Center. For a schedule, go to www.odu.edu.
