A beloved holiday tradition returns to Norfolk in an extraordinary new collaboration this December, when Virginia Ballet Theatre presents Richmond Ballet's spectacular production of The Nutcracker at Norfolk's Chrysler Hall. Share The Nutcracker with your entire family and sweeten your dreams with Richmond’s favorite holiday tradition. Tchaikovsky's distinctive music takes us to the the magical land of Clara’s dreams, where marzipan sheep graze, chocolate dances with a Spanish flair and tea takes the form of a Chinese dragon. The young and young at heart will marvel as the Silberhaus family Christmas tree grows and the toys beneath it help Clara and her Nutcracker Prince battle the Mouse King. An entourage of graceful dancing snowflakes escorts Clara and her Prince to the Kingdom of Sweets.

With live accompaniment by the Virginia Symphony Orchestra and the Virginia Children's Chorus, the Nutcracker will bring joy to all who venture into his magical world of Christmas fantasy...Virginia Ballet Theatre is proud to present this Christmas spectacular with the support of Todd Rosenlieb Dance.
