Police have arrested a man in connection with an incident in which an officer was shot at during a traffic stop.
The incident happened Sunday when an officer pulled over a car on South Independence Boulevard at 1:38 a.m. As the officer approached the car the driver shot at him, then drove away. The officer was not injured.
Police chased the car, but lost sight of it. The car was found empty soon after.
On Thursday police arrested Justin Scott Patriquin, 18, of the 1800 block of Fury Way. He is charged with attempted capital murder and use of a firearm in commission of a felony.
The case remains under investigation.
