Week 5's winners

I'll be at the Redskins-Eagles game Sunday, but I do believe I'll be able to hear the hitting coming from the Titans-Ravens game 90 minutes down I-95. Those defenses will put a hat on you, as the good ol' football boys say. Wish I could be two places at once. Or three or four -- Pittsburgh at Jacksonville and Tampa Bay at Denver shape up as excellent attractions, too.

So anyway, 9-4 last week, again not so bad. The Eagles score from the 1-foot line, it's 10-3, but what the heck . 38-22 for the season. Slowly coming around, like the San Diego Chargers.

Onward:

Eagles over Redskins -- Skins fail trying to record first-ever back-to-back wins at Dallas and at Philly.

Titans over Ravens -- Just don't trust Baltimore's rookie QB Joe Flacco yet.

Jaguars over Steelers -- Attrition starts to hurt Steelers.

Bears over Lions -- Lions are -54 in point differential after only THREE games.

Packers over Falcons -- Falcons continue to float back to reality after winning two of first three.

Giants over Seahawks -- Coming cross-country doesn't sit well with Seahawks

Texans over Colts -- A hunch Colts are just going to have trouble getting it together

Broncos over Bucs -- Probably giving porous Denver defense too much credit here.

Chargers over Dolphins -- At Miami, though. That might matter.

Cardinals over Bills -- First loss for Buffalo.

Patriots over 49ers -- Actually a good test for Pats after bye.

Cowboys over Bengals -- T.O. and Ocho Cinco. God help us.

Panthers over Chiefs -- Pretty solid team in Charlotte.

Saints over Vikings -- Saints still have to tighten up D, though.
